Fun fact about Pleasant Grove: from 1920 to 1950, the main export from this budding city was strawberries! The Pleasant Grove Cannery, which was built in 1915 was a major producer for the strawberry industry, so much so that Pleasant Grove quickly gained the nickname, “Utah’s Strawberry City.”

To celebrate its strawberry-based prosperity, the city also started a local festival in 1920. The annual festival still occurs every year in Pleasant Grove, making it the longest-running festival in Utah. Strawberry Days takes place each June and includes everything from a family fun carnival to a rodeo. It’s a must-see event in Pleasant Grove, so if you move here, prepare to get your strawberry on.
